Injuries Common to Equestrians
Equestrians, both recreational and competitive, are no strangers to the physical demands of the sport. The unique partnership between rider and horse requires balance, strength, and coordination that are specific to the equestrian world. Dr. Kristen is well-versed in treating a range of equestrian-related injuries and conditions, including:

  1. Back and Spine Issues: Riders often face back and spinal problems due to the need for a stable posture while riding. Dr. Kristen provides targeted treatments to alleviate pain and enhance spinal health.
  2. Hip and Pelvic Pain: The movement of the hips and pelvis is crucial for a secure seat in the saddle. Dr. Kristen can address issues like hip impingement, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and pelvic misalignment, which are common among equestrians.

  6. Overuse Injuries: The repetitive nature of riding can lead to overuse injuries, such as tendonitis and stress fractures. Dr. Kristen provides guidance on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
